Al Mazyouna Free Zone has strengthened its position as an emerging investment and trade gateway, with cumulative investments exceeding RO141 million. The zone attracted four new projects worth more than RO620,000 during the first half of 2026.
The new projects cover industrial activities, logistics and export offices, occupying around 2,415 square metres. The zone currently has more than 1.4 million square metres of leased space and employs around 472 workers.
Expansion plans include a 50,000-square-metre industrial incubator and specialised warehouses, a refrigerated warehouse, an automotive complex and a representative office targeting the Yemeni market. Authorities are also exploring animal-feed and compound-fertiliser manufacturing projects.
Sustainability is becoming part of the zoneโs growth strategy, with plans for 1 MW of solar energy and greater adoption of renewable-energy systems among new and existing companies. The second Al Mazyouna Economic Exhibition and Forum is also scheduled for October 20โ22, providing another platform for investment and Oman-Yemen trade cooperation.
