O-Green, an affiliate of the Oman Investment Authority, is targeting more than 200MW of AI-ready data centre capacity by 2028, linking Omanβs growing AI infrastructure ambitions with large-scale renewable energy projects.
The plan is connected to O-Greenβs 2.7GW Continuous Renewable Energy Project in Duqm and Mahout, which is designed to provide around 770MW of firm renewable power through solar, wind and battery storage.
The strategy could strengthen Omanβs position as a destination for AI computing, data centres and high-performance computing, while creating a cleaner energy foundation for the digital economy. The 200MW figure remains a target, with delivery and contracted capacity still to be developed
