Omanโs Financial Services Authority (FSA) has outlined new executive regulations for the Securities Law aimed at creating a more competitive investment environment, expanding financing options and strengthening the countryโs capital market. The framework focuses on better utilisation of national assets, stronger investor protection and improved conditions for both domestic and foreign investors.
The new regulations also expand the framework for collective investment funds, covering 11 different categories of funds. The FSA said the changes are intended to diversify financial products, support innovation and strengthen the role of capital markets in financing projects, in line with Oman Vision 2040.
