𝐒𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐡 𝐭𝐨 𝐇𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐊𝐞𝐲 𝐎𝐦𝐚𝐧–𝐒𝐚𝐮𝐝𝐢 𝐄𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐜 𝐂𝐨𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐌𝐞𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠

Oman and Saudi Arabia are set to deepen economic cooperation as Salalah hosts the seventh meeting of the Economy, Trade and Industry Coordination Committee under the Omani-Saudi Coordination Council.

Senior officials from both countries will review progress on joint initiatives and explore measures to increase bilateral trade, strengthen industrial integration and encourage investment between the two markets.

A major focus will be reducing barriers to trade, expanding non-oil exports, strengthening industrial supply chains and providing greater opportunities for Omani and Saudi companies in government procurement and investment projects.

The discussions will also look towards high-value and technology-driven industries, including semiconductors, electronic chips, modern technologies and ready-made factories. Oman’s strategic position as a potential re-export hub is another area expected to receive attention.

One of the key outcomes is expected to be the signing of an executive programme for 2026–2028, aimed at converting the two countries’ economic cooperation agreements into practical projects and initiatives
The meeting signals a broader shift from traditional bilateral trade towards industrial integration, technology, supply-chain development and joint investment.
