𝐎𝐦𝐚𝐧 & 𝐒𝐚𝐮𝐝𝐢 𝐀𝐫𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐚 𝐌𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐋𝐨𝐠𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐬 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩

Oman and Saudi Arabia are stepping up cooperation in the transport and logistics sector, with a focus on stronger connectivity, new investment opportunities and increased trade between the two neighbouring countries.

A Saudi delegation led by Deputy Minister of Transport and Logistics Dr Rumaih bin Mohammed Al-Rumaih visited Oman’s key ports in Sohar, Duqm and Salalah to assess their infrastructure, operational capabilities and potential for deeper collaboration.

The discussions covered port management, logistics services, knowledge exchange and joint investment opportunities, including the potential for new partnerships and joint ventures. The initiative comes as both countries look to strengthen economic integration and diversify their economies.

The growing importance of the Oman–Saudi land and maritime trade corridor could create new opportunities for businesses, logistics operators, investors and exporters across the region. The Empty Quarter crossing alone handled around RO1.322 billion in trade in 2025, highlighting the growing strength of bilateral commercial links.
