Oman participated in the 11th World Conference on Fatwa, held in Cairo, bringing together scholars, academics, researchers, experts and muftis from around the world. Oman was represented by the Office of the Grand Mufti, with its delegation led by Sheikh Ahmed bin Saud Al Siyabi, Secretary-General of the Office of Ifta.
This yearโs conference focused on โFamily challenges amid major transformationsโ, examining how religious guidance can help protect the family and preserve its Islamic identity amid rapid social, economic and technological changes.
Speaking at the conference, Al Siyabi highlighted the challenges facing Muslim families and stressed the importance of increasing awareness of Islamic jurisprudence and strengthening values that contribute to family stability, identity and social cohesion.
Omanโs participation reflects its continued engagement in international religious and intellectual dialogue, while supporting the exchange of experiences and perspectives on issues affecting Arab and Islamic societies.
