Omanโs Al Mazyouna Free Zone has strengthened its position as a growing trade and investment gateway, with cumulative investment now exceeding RO141 million. The zone attracted four new projects worth more than RO620,000 during the first half of 2026, covering industrial, logistics and export-office activities.
Managed by Madayn, the free zone now has more than 1.4 million square metres of leased space, while around 472 workers are employed within the zone. Infrastructure development is also moving forward, including the design of a fourth phase covering approximately 1.5 million square metres.
The expansion pipeline includes an industrial incubator, specialised warehouses, a refrigerated warehouse, an automotive complex and new facilities targeting the Yemeni market. Authorities are also studying projects for animal-feed production, compound fertilisers and renewable energy, including 1 MW of solar power.
Strategically located near Yemen, Al Mazyouna is being positioned as an important commercial and logistics gateway between Oman and regional markets. Investors can benefit from incentives including 30-year income-tax exemptions on profits, customs-duty exemptions and the ability for foreign investors to own 100% of project capital.
