Oman will introduce public electric vehicle charging fees from October 1, 2026, marking a new phase in the development of the countryโ€™s EV infrastructure.

The tariffs will range from 50 to 120 baisa per kWh, depending on charger capacity. Chargers up to 90kW will cost 50 baisa/kWh, 91โ€“180kW chargers 90 baisa/kWh, and chargers above 180kW 120 baisa/kWh.

The capacity-based structure reflects the different levels of charging speed and infrastructure investment, while supporting the continued expansion of Omanโ€™s public EV charging network.

As EV adoption grows, the introduction of regulated charging tariffs represents an important step toward building a more structured and sustainable electric mobility ecosystem in Oman.
