𝐎𝐦𝐚𝐧 𝐭𝐨 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐞 𝐄𝐕 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐅𝐞𝐞𝐬 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐎𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟏

Oman will introduce public electric vehicle charging fees from October 1, 2026, marking a new phase in the development of the country’s EV infrastructure.

The tariffs will range from 50 to 120 baisa per kWh, depending on charger capacity. Chargers up to 90kW will cost 50 baisa/kWh, 91–180kW chargers 90 baisa/kWh, and chargers above 180kW 120 baisa/kWh.

The capacity-based structure reflects the different levels of charging speed and infrastructure investment, while supporting the continued expansion of Oman’s public EV charging network.

As EV adoption grows, the introduction of regulated charging tariffs represents an important step toward building a more structured and sustainable electric mobility ecosystem in Oman.
