Omanโs economic growth is expected to accelerate to 4% in 2026, up from 2.4% in 2025, according to the Central Bank of Oman (CBO). The forecast reflects continued expansion across both hydrocarbon and non-hydrocarbon sectors.
The CBO expects stronger hydrocarbon revenues, non-oil activity and investment to support growth, while average inflation is projected at 2.6%. Oman is also forecast to record a fiscal surplus of around 2.5% of GDP and a current account surplus of about 4.1% of GDP.
The outlook comes as Oman advances economic diversification under Oman Vision 2040 and the 11th Five-Year Development Plan. Non-hydrocarbon activities grew 3.1% in 2025, while investment and strategic projects continued to support economic activity.
The CBO also highlighted improving fiscal fundamentals, with public debt declining to 34.6% of GDP in 2025 and Omanโs sovereign credit profile strengthening.
